A Robin in the Snow

This morning, I felt
upon my face, a caress,
Spring’s gentle approach.

After the noontime
came a host of Robins down,
a Red-Flicker too.

Powdered snow remains.
In the grate a fire burns- yet
Life, renewed, returns.
